Product Details
ARK's Tran-Quill Writing Kit is an innovative sensory kit that can be used to improve a variety of handwriting skills, particularly for individuals with sensory integration issues and/or poor fine motor control. Each kit includes: 1 vibratory Z-Vibe handle, 3 individual Pen Tip attachments (black ink), 1 Pencil Tip adapter, 6 golf pencils, 1 Crayon Tip adapter, 6 crayons, 2 Butter Grips (colors may vary), and 1 clear storage case. The vibration, textured surface, and weight of the handle provide increased sensory input and proprioceptive feedback to the hand during writing tasks. These sensations may increase focus, normalize writing speed, increase hand strength and dexterity, and/or decrease the grip force used to hold a pen/pencil. If turned on to vibrate, the soothing effects are felt in the hand, but do not affect the actual writing - perfect for homework, note-taking, drawing, and much more . The Butter Pencil Grips provide support to the finger muscles for individuals with decreased fine motor and hand strength, and encourage an open web space for those who tend to hyperextend their fingers. Pen, pencil, and crayon options are included for varying fine motor work. Once assembled, the Pen/Pencil/Crayon measures approximately 6.75 inches in length. Bonus: the handle is compatible with all of the tips for the Z-Vibe . Please note: the unit comes with a special Vibe Battery not available in stores. Comes with 1 battery pre-installed. Specifications: Crafted in our own factory in Columbia, SC for quality and safety assurance. Caution: Not a toy. Contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard. This therapeutic tool is to be used by a therapist or caregiver and directly supervised at all times. *May be HSA / FSA eligible. Contact your plan administrator for more details.
